Music and preferences

Recently when i joined an organization that deals with mobile phones, i came across some of the hard metal fans out there. Though i am not a great music fan and like many others i like old melodies and some new Bollywood songs. The interesting gossip that i wanna share with you all is the changing moods of people even in India – the so called civilized and conserved India.

Whenever we get time and sit together, most of the time we either talk about the cricket or music. What we discuss actually is like we try to pull legs of those singers and the songs that we don't like. The most popular songs of 2006 by Himesh Reshamia or some Punjabi songs by Mika, etc. The funniest part of the gossip is that sometimes they comment on some good songs that i like but you know majority speaks more loudly and inadvertently i also nod my head. Though my mind says something else but my body goes with the audience.

It's true that in the last few years music has changed its definition and new age singers have made it more blunt. Why do they make remix of old melody songs? Pick any of the new songs and read the lyrics – in fact i would laugh on that. And that's the reason i personally think why of late, music fans are preferring hard metal, hip hops and pop songs.

But that just mean we can't compose good songs, good music? Or compose a video song with a singer and a group of sensual and half naked pretty girls – dancing and caressing. What's your music preferences?

My favourite singer is Altaf Raja and he is not a hip-hop artist. You should listen to ''Tum To There Pardesi" and "Ishq aur pyar ka maja lijiye." I bet you will just love these tracks. Ya, music is growing and getting more innovative with time. As far as Mika is concerned, he sings from his heart and words just come from his mouth...without any meaning. His very first track "Sawan mein Lag gayi AAANNNNG Ki dil mera Haannnnnnyeeee.." Oh my God..how can you sing like that...it seems as if MIka Was badly constipated when he sang that track.....Himesh Bhai is too good for anything...till his nose is working perfectly...Remember OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...ya...do it once and you will enjoy a lot,,,but don't let people consider you as a mad..or freak.
